What's In My Makeup Bag (May Edition).

Hiya everyone, first of all I'd just like to apologise for my lack of posts recently. I think that I'm only going to be able to post every other day now, with school work and all that.
Anyway, today I'm going to be sharing with you whats in my makeup bag this month.

Here is what my makeup bag looks like, its a Betty Jackson Black bag that I got about a month back from Debenhams!

And then here's what I carry in my makeup bag... all in a pile.
I just want to add that I don't use all high end makeup or all drugstore. I think that its good to have a mix of more expensive makeup and inexpensive makeup.

Left To Right: Loreal nude magique BB cream, Bourjois bio detox organic foundation, Benefit boi-ing concealer,
Witch pressed powder and lastly some Kleenex blotting tissues.

At the moment I am trying out the Loreal BB cream, but I just have to carry my Bourjois foundation as it is my go to foundation.
Left To Right: Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer, Rimmel sun shimmer bronzer in the shade light matte, MAC powder blush in well dressed, Urban Decay urbanglow cream highlight in sin, Revlon lip butter in peach parfait and Clinique super balm in grapefruit.

I really like using the collection 2000 concealer under my eyes, I have the shade two and although its a tad to dark to use on any blemishes its a bit peachy. Great for the under eye area.

Left To Right: Rimmel Scandal eyes mascara, MUA clear mascara, Rimmel flash eyeliner and MUA matt eyeshadow (shade 19).

I'd just like to apologise that the picture is upside down, but it just would not rotate. I haven't tried too many high end mascaras, but I don't believe that you need an expensive mascara to make your eyelashes look a million dollars! I use the matt eyeshadow to fill in my brows and the clear mascara to set them.

I hope this post wasn't too boring, sorry if it was. What do you carry in your makeup bag?

Haul!!!

Hiya guys, the last week or so I've brought a fair few beauty products, so I thought id just show you all in a haul :)

Earlier this week I was looking on Elena's (love212) blog sale, and I treated my self to a Butter London nail polish in HRH, its a really pretty purple colour with a silver pearl/sheen to it. I also got a Revlon lip butter from Elena's blog sale, in the colour Peach Parfait. All of the stuff she is selling on her blog sale is brand new and at really great prices!
If you saw my mini nail polish haul then you would know that I brought some of the NYC expert wear nail polishes. Well, I tried them out and I really liked them, so I went back and brought another one. A glitter one this time, in the colour gramercy glitz.
Also this week I ordered Benefit's boi-ing concealer (shade one) from Demenhams. They have free delivery on at the moment and 10% off makeup!!!

And then lastly I picked up two Charles Worthington hair care products from Superdrug. I do really like the brand, but I just find that it can be abit hit and miss weather I'm going to like their products. Anyway, I got their salon finish heat defence spray (because I ran out of my TRESemme one) and their dry shampoo.
Hope you enjoyed, and hope you all had a fab day out in the sun!!!

Summer Must Haves!

Hello, today I'm going to be sharing with you some must haves for summer (now its finally getting more warmer here in England)!

Number One: A tinted moisturiser and setting powder (if you need one)! When it comes round to summer I don't like to wear heavy makeup and I just want something light with some coverage. The one I'm really liking right now is the Witch tinted moisturiser and powder. Review here.
Number Two: A pretty (bright) blush. In the summer months I really like wearing a more brighter pinky coral blush. The one I've been wearing recently is Benefits coralista! You can buy it here.

Number Three: A refreshing face wash! I am defiantly one for a refreshing zingy face wash, especially when I'm hot. I really like The Body Shop's tea tree face wash, and its only £5!!!

Number Four: A tan inhanser! I really really like Garnier's moisturising body lotion, its basically a white moisturiser that builds up a natural tan, but is great for enhancing existing tans. And its currently half price at Superdrugs!

Number Five: A bright nail polish. Anyone will do really, but I do like the No 7 stay perfect polish in colour number 220 Tangy. Its just a VERY bright orange, and its all about the brights this spring/summer.

Number Six: Lastly, I think every girl needs a pair of denim shorts, there timeless! I recently purchased these ones from Primark, but I'm sure that you can find them in any shop. Sorry the picture wouldn't rotate.

What are your summer must haves?

My Hair Care Routine.

Hello again, in this post I'm going to be sharing with you all my hair care routine and how I grew my hair long.

Left to Right: Vosene medicated shampoo, Herbal essences beautiful ends conditioner, Aussie three minute miracle (reconstructor), Boots coconut and almond leave in conditioner and lastly TRESemme argan oil.

So, as you can see I dont use a ton of different products, but I am pretty keen on my conditioners! You can find all of these at the drugstore and none of them are really expensive or break the bank. If im being honest I dont really believe in super expensive hair care products, I'm not saying it isnt nice to treat your self once in a while, but I just think that as with makeup also you can find dupes at the drugstore with the same if not better quaility.

With that little disclaimer out of the way, I guess I should make a start on what I use first. To really clean my hair and to prevent dandruff (ewwwww) I like to use the Vossene medicated shampoo, because let me tell you dandruff is NOT attrictive! Becuase this is a medicated shampoo I wouldnt reccommend it if your hair is clolour treated, as it does take the colour out. But if not and your looking for a standard anti-dandruff shampoo then I would highly reccommend this.
After that I use the Herbal essences beautiful ends conditioner, this is designed for mid lengh to long hair, which I have. But even if you dont have mid to long hair you can still use it, also on the bottle it does say that it has a split end protection, but I dont ever really take notice of that, just because if you use heat on your hair you are going to get split ends, it doesnt matter how much of this conditioner you use!
Around every second or third (or just when ever my hair is feel especially dry) I use some od Aussie's three minute miracle. You can use this as  a regular  conditioner, but I dont really have dry hair so I use it more as a treatment conditioner. And as the name suggests I just leave it on for around three minutes.
Then lastly for the conditioners I always use the Boots coconut and almond leave in conditioner. Ive gone through about 10 of these and I absoultey LOVE it! I maily use this as a sort of detangler spray, also coconut and almond are both really good for your hair. And you cant really go wrong with this product for only £2!!!

The newest addition to my hair care routine is the TRESemme argan oil, I have only had this for abou two weeks but I am obsessed with it!!! All I do is take one pump of it, and just smooth it onto the bottoms of my hair after ive washed it and combed through it all. Also I add another pump after ive styled it, as it just adds a lovley shine to my hair and makes it feel so so so soft!

Hope this wasnt too long for you all and thanks for reading till the end!
Whats your hair care routine?

Rave Review: Nivea Refreshingly Soft Moisturing Cream.

Hello everyone, today I'm going to be doing my first ever reve raview! Right now im raving over the Nivea soft refreshingly soft moisturising cream (what a mouth full!).

Now, this product does have many uses, which is one of the reasons im obsessed with it, you can use it on your hands, face and body, and its super super moisturising! I have to be honest and put it out there that I wouldnt put this on my face, as it is designed to go on your body aswell, and I just feel like it would break me out or somthing.
This multi-use cream has jojoba oil in it and also vitamin E, which is always a bonus. I love ot just throw this in my bag, and I have a hand cream, body butter and face moisturiser all in one, with out having to lug three different products around with me.

This is a pretty thick cream, so if you dont like thick moisturisers then you might not like this, but if you dont mind them then I would deffiently reccommend this to you!
Another plus to this product (for once) is the price, it is only £2.50 from Boots and Superdrug, and if you think about it you would end up spending around 10x more than this if you brough all three products seperatley.
Have you tried this before? What did you think? Tweet me @beautygeek123

Mini Nail Polish Haul.

Hello guys, in this video im going to sharing with you a few nail polishes I picked up earlier today :).

So, as you all can probably see I did only pick up three nail polishes, becuase these were the only colours from the collection (that my local superdrugs stocked anyway) that I liked. A little sidenote: the mint green and lilac are excat replecas of Barry M's mint geen and berry ice cream, so if you do live outside of the UK and are unable to get a hold of Barry M then check out these polishes.

When I was sorting through my nail polish collection the other day I realised that I did not own just a creamy (non pearly) white, and since all cosmetics are 3 for 2 at the moment at Superdrugs I thought I best pick one up. The white one is the only one I have tried out (as I did give my self a french manicure) and the pigmentation seems pretty good. I will do a full review on this expert last line from NYC if your interested.
The names of these polishes are: (from left to right) pinstripe white (134), mint macaroon (253) and last but not least lavender cupcake (257).
This expert wear nail polishes retail for £2.49 each, and as I said are currently on a 3 for 2 offer at Superdrugs. I will deffiently be purchising some different colours from this line in the future.

Have you tried out this new line by NYC? If so what do you think of it? Tweet me @beautygeek123

Review: Elegant Touch Rapid Dry For Nails.

Hello everyone, today I'm going to be reviewing elegant touch rapid dry for nails (spray).

When I was in Tescos a couple of weeks back I saw this product and I just thought that it would be perfect for me, as I'm always in a rush and never really have the time to just sit down and paint my nails properly.

However, after the first use I noticed a problem. It leaves a kind of a oily residue on the nails, and it doesn't really dry the nail polish any quicker than it would dry without it. Having said that I do still use the drying spray, but I wont be repurchasing it and I don't really recommend it. Save your £3.00 that this product costs, and buy a new nail polish instead.

What do you think of this nail drying spray?

Review: Witch Tinted Moisturiser And Powder.

Hello guys, I hope your all having a really good day, and in this post im going to be reviewing the Witch tinted moisturiser and matching pressed powder!
I have been using the Witch tinted moisturiser and the matching powder for the last week and a bit, I ive toatlly been converted. I never used to like tinted moisturisers, just because I thought that they didnt really give me enough coverage. But, recently my skin has been breaking out and all of the Witch makeup contains witch hazel, which is really good for clearing up your skin.

The tinted moisturiser comes in three different shades light (01), medium (02) and dark (03), so not the best shade range but there is somthing for everyone. And the powder just comes in one shade (im not sure if its coloured or a translucent powder).  I really really love both of these products, but I just wish that the compact powder had a mirror in it for touch ups on the go. As for pricing I think that there acctully quite cheap the powder is £4.99 and the tinted moisturiser is £5.99, and I can happily say that when I run out I will be repurchising both items!

Heres a quick swatch for you all, on top is the powder (and as you can see it does have some colour to it and does give a bit of coverage too), and second is th etinted moisturiser. Now the tinted moisturiser does look a bit orange (more so in real life than on camera). But it does this amazing thing, and I dont know how it does it, but when you start to blend it to your skin, it goes to a normal colour (similar to the powder). Also I nearly forgot to mention that I apply the tinted moisturiser with my hands, I have tried with my little egg shaped sponge and with a brush, but ive found that you get the best results with your fingers.

Whats your faveourite tinted moisturiser and powder? Tweet me @beautygeek123

Arm Candy!

Hello guys, in this post I'm going to be sharing with you some of my favourite arm candy.

In the summer I really love layering/stacking bracelets, I just think that it looks boho, like some of the pictures on tumblr. I don't have specific bracelets that I wear but these are the ones I been wearing the most lately.

On the left arm, I have this purple wrap bracelet that I got from Primark for like £2 last year (but I have seen a similar design to this in their this season), then I have a hamsa hand brown beaded bracelet that I got from River Island. Then just to top it off I added a couple random beaded bracelets.

And on the right arm, a leather bracelet that I got when I was on holiday, but my friend has a similar one (not personalised) that she got from Primark, a black and silver threaded bracelet that I purchased from a local boutique and finally I wore this pink and gold bracelet that I found at H&M for really cheap, and it comes in a bunch of different colours!!!

Whats some of  your favourite arm candy? Twetet me pics on Twitter, @beautygeek123. Hope you enjoyed this short (and hopefully not too boring) post. Hope your having a good day, speak soon

NOTD.

Hello everyone, so in this post im going to be doing another NOTD.

Here are the nails :)

This is what it looked like after one coat. Now, if im being honest it isnt really showing up on camera, but it was really thin and see through. As soon as I applied it I was like oh god! This is going to be a rubbish polish. But after the second coat it was fine.

Heres the bottle.

I think that now is the right time (before I forget), that this is one of the Accesorize 3D glitter polishes and the colour that im wearing is Emerald City. For the price you just can honestly not go wrong, the 3D polishes are £4 each from superdrug.

Thank you all so much for reading hope you had a lovley day!

How To: Organise You Wardrobe/Closet.

Hello guys, in this post I'm going to be sharing with you a few tips I have on how to keep your wardrobe organised. Of course everyone has their own personal preference of how they like to organised things, but I think these tips can be altered to everyone specific needs.

Here is what my wardrobe looks like inside.

Obviously you don't have the exact same clothes as me, but you can still follow the same steps I do.
So, I like to put any school clothes first, then next I put my jackets, coats and blazers. Then I put my cardigans going from big chunky knit ones to more thinner light weight summer cardigans.
Next comes tops, long ones first, then short/caped sleeve ones then last I like to put strap tops (not vest tops, I have a separate draw for those). After that I put all my jeans (boring). Lastly, (the most fun part, in my opinion) I put all my fancier clothes, so all my blouses, dresses, shorts and skirts.

The middle section.

In the middle section of my wardrobe I like to put all my charity t-shirts, jean shorts, more cardigans and just generally tops that I don't wear that often (but don't want to chuck out).

Bottom section.

And lastly in the bottom section I store all my shoes, that I only keep some what tidy. So, high heels to one side, sandals/flip flops to the other and then boots at the back.

Here is what my wardrobe looks like from the outside.

Key Tips:
- Either organise by colour or by item.
- If you don't wear something that much then fold it up and store it in the middle section (If you wardrobe has one).
- Make sure that all your hangers are facing the same way, may sound a little silly, but otherwise they take up more room then needed.
- And remember if you don't wear something any more, then go and donate it to your local charity shop.

Hope you enjoyed, and hope you all had a fabulous day! speak soon,
- BeautyGeek123

P.S- incase you was woundering my wardrobe is from Ikea, I got it a few years back but I believe they still stock it.

Review: La Roche-Posay Foaming Gel (Cleanser).

Hello everyone, in this post I'm going to be doing another review, and this time I'm going to review the La Roche-Posay purifing foaming gel (for oily sensitive skin).

Fist things first, the La Roche-Posay brand is french, and if you didn't know the French are very experienced when it comes to skincare! Even though this product does have a tongue twister name, it is just a foaming cleanser.
I use this cleanser first thing in the morning, and last thing at night, it is very gentle and has pH  5.5 (although I don't know what pH other cleansers have).

Here is a picture I found online.

The La Roche-Posay foaming gel is: soap free, colorant free, alcohol free, parben free and is tested  on imperfection prone skin.
The main thing I love this product for is that it doesn't claim do work any miracles (like many other skincare products do, but it does clean my skin, leaving it feeling lovely and fresh.
Another thing I ought to mention is that it does have a pretty strong floral scent, and when I first started using this cleanser I absolutely hated, but now Ive gotten used to it its kind of nice. So, I'm not entirely sure why it does have a strong scent to it when it is designed for sensitive skin, but it doesn't irritate my skin one bit.
Getting down to the price, its £10.21 from boots' and for that you get 200 mls, which is pretty decent if you take all things into account.
I would totally recommend this cleanser if your on the hunt for a new one, that is for oily sensitive skin, but doesn't claim do work miracles (and not deliver).

Thank you all so much for reading, hope your having a great day. As always leave a comment down below or tweet me if you have any questions or post requests. Thanks

Top 5: Nail Polishes.

Hello again guys (for the last time today), in this post I'm going to be sharing with you all my top five nail polishes at the moment.
I was actually going to do the nail polish tag or what ever its called, but instead I decided to do my top five polishes right now.
So, without further ado lets get started.

Here are all the nail polishes (with flash).

From left to right: OPI's ate berries in the Canaries (its showing up very purple on camera), NO 7's stay perfect in the colour tangy, Barry M's berry ice cream, F&F nails in the colour little blue eggshell and finally a miss sporty glitter polish.
As you have probably already noticed all of the polishes are by different brands, I'm not really the type of person to only by from one brand. This is just because there is good and bad in every brand (I'm a poet and I didn't know it, LOL), if I see a polish I like by a new brand ill buy it, and plus I do change the colour of my nail pretty often so it doesn't really bother me if they don't have the best staying power.
If I had to pick my favourite polish out of all of these it would have to be the OPI one, just because the colour is very unique. Ate berries in the Canaries is a mix between pink and purple, and if your like me and can never decide which colour to paint your nails, then this is the perfect shade for you. Although OPI is expensive (for what it is) here in the UK I think that its totally worth it, if your going to get use out of it.
Next is the NO 7 nail polish, the one shown above is a verrrrryyyy bright orange. I don't really have much to say, other than it is super duper pigmented, all you need is one coat and your done. You can find the NO 7 nail polishes at Boots for £7 (total steal)!!!
The very famous Barry M nail polishes are probably the best of their kind out there on the high street, award winners three years in a row. I really love this kind of bright lilac colour and have been wearing it a ton the last few weeks.
F&F (for Tesco) have recently come out with their own cosmetics line, and I think its safe to say I did go a tincy wincy bit mad when it came to their nail polishes. This is probably one of my favourite shades I own by F&F. Its just a pale pastel milky blue that's totally in this spring and summer, and their long wearing too.
Last but certainly not least is a glitter polish by Miss Sporty, all I do is just put this on my accent finger over any nail polish, and from what I can remember it was only about £2!!!
Left to right: miss sporty glitter polish, F&F little blue eggshell, Barry M berry ice cream, OPI ate berries in the Canaries, NO & tangy.

From the swatches show above you can see that the two more expensive nail polishes are more pigmented than the cheaper ones, but I suppose you do only get what you pay for.

Thank you so very very much for reading, I hope you had a lovely day. Speak soon.

500 Page View Giveaway?

Hey guys, so this is just going to be a short post (and a bit of a rambley one too).

So, if you read my last post then you would know that I'm thinking of doing a giveaway when my blog gets to 500 page views, and its already nearly at 100.
So you may be thinking what is the point in this post? Well, I just wanted to let you guys know that the giveaway will hopefully be coming in the next few weeks.
Also what sort of products would you like to see in the giveaway? Would you all prefer drugstore products (I could possibly do my favourite products from the drugstore) or, a few higher end products (so like a couple Mac things).

Review: Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation.

Hello everyone, in this post im going to be reviewing Rimmel's (very hyped) wake me up foundation.
Hope you enjoy.

I brought this foundation about two weeks ago, and I think I have had the right amount of time to try out this foundation, and get my opinion on it.

The first thing I want to say about this foundation, is that it does have very fine sprakes in it, that are impossible to show up on camera but they are there!

I own the shade 100 Ivory, and I do have to say that it is abit too pink for me, but nothing too noticable. As I have stated before I do have oily skin, which is why I didnt try this foundation when it first come out, but I just finailly cracked and brought it. I was slightly skeptial about the whole glitter on my oliy skin but any how ive been trying an the glitter really isint noticeable so dont let that steer youy away from this foundation.
As you can see in the picture above this foundation does have a pump (which is always a plus) and it also comes in a glass bottle!!! What more could you ask for? Espicaly as it is only £8.99. Also this foundation has SPF 15 wich is always great!

As you can see, none of the shades are partically yellow based, however their not too pink based either.
The staying power of this foundation is pretty good, I use it along side Rimmel's fix & perfect pro primer, and it stays all day! Overall I do really like this foundation, and would reccomend it to anyone of any skin type and also the price is really great.

Thank you so much for reading, hope you have had a good day so far and have a great evening. Please follow me on twitter @beautygeek123 , speak soon.

Top 5: Eye Products.

Hello, in this post I'm going to be sharing with yo my top five eye products! All of these products I would 100% recommend you all having if you can get your hands on them.

So, in no particular order;

Product number one: Vivo trio eyeshadow palette in innocence.
In this trio you get: a highlight, all over lid colour and a crease colour!

These shades are so pretty but yet great to wear everyday, and for the price you just cant go wrong! (I think the Vivo trio's are either three or four pounds at Tesco)

Product number two: Accesorize icon eye shadow in truffle.
This is the picture from the Superdrug website, but it doesn't really do it justice so next time your in Superdrug go and swatch this eyeshadow, because its sooooo pretty!

I normally go for more neutral colours for the eyes, but for some reason I'm addicted to this eyeshadow, it really great fir party's! You can find it at Superdrug for £3.95!

Product number three: Maybelline 24hr colour tattoo in on and on bronze.
I believe that the name and numbering system is different in the states, the US name for this shade is bad to the bronze.

This is also another one of the darker shadows I absolutely love! They retail for such a good price (£4.99) and Ive also heard that their very comparable to the MAC paint pots. What a bargin!

Product number four: Revlon grow luscious plumping mascara.
This mascara does come in a couple different colours, the one I own is blackend brown.

I'm such a HUGE fan of this mascara, I just cannot say enough good things about it! I love the brush, it doesn't run (and I don't use waterproof), it makes my lashes look amazing and it holds a curl! I'm not sure what the difference is between the plumping formula and the original formula? Maybe ill have to buy the original one and do a comparison for you guys? Anyway, I just cannot recommend this mascara enough and you should all go out and buy it right now!!!

(Last but not least) Product number five: Rimmel flash eyeliner.
The eyeliner has a felt tip nib.

Again, I cannot say enough good things about this eyeliner. Ive tried them all in the past, pencil, liquid and gel, and I can honestly say this is the only I get along with and the only one I can draw a semi-decent line with. Because of the felt tip nib, it makes drawing a line super duper easy, and you can still achieve a thick line, or a thin line (which is what I most prefer).

Thank you so much for reading, hope your all having a great day, speak to you soon. Oh, and by the way I'm thinking of doing a giveaway when my blog reaches 500 page views its already on 65 (on the second day) so keep an eye out for that, it should be coming soon!

Review: George Cosmetics.

Hello everyone, in this post I'm going to be reviewing George cosmetics.

From left to right: Faux lash mascara, eye primer, cheeky tint (cheek and lip tint) and finally a
powder blush in she colour rosy.

Mascara: I have tried out this mascara over the pas couple of days and I must say that for the price its not that bad. It has a curved brush, that to be honest I'm not that much of a fan of curved brushes, and has a kind of wet consistency. One thing I did notice is that it doesn't clump easily, but unfortunately it does end up under your eyes at the end of the day. This mascara retails for £3.50.

Eye primer: The last couple times I have worn eyeshadow I wore this primer underneath  and I do actually quite like it. The primer has a very oily watery consistency, but once you give it a good shake it will be fine, also it dries on the eyes almost powdery which I found quite strange.

Cheeky tint: Out of all four of the products that I own by George, I like and get the most use out of the tint. It is just a simple one step product that you don't need to use any brushes for (so its great for travelling with), and best of all you can use it on your cheeks and on your lips. The colour of the product is also very natural once blended out.

Powder blush: I love having this blush in my collection and I do reach for it alot. Its just that perfect pink, that doesn't have actual glitter in it but leaves the skin with a lovely natural glow. One thing that I must mention is that in the pan it is sort of powdery, but once its on your brush its fine.

You can see the curved mascara wand and the cheek and lip tint has a nail polish applicator.

On the top is a swatch of the powder blush, it didn't really show up that well but it is just a very pretty natural colour, the cheek and lip tint is in the middle and you can see that it is more of a brighter pink but once you blend it in it looks lovely. And finally on the bottom is the eye primer.

Overall I think that George cosmetics have some really good products and great prices. I would totally recommend this brand if you are looking for some good quality cheap makeup. You can find all of the items mentioned above and a ton more instore at Asda.

Thank you for reading, I hope you are all having a good day. If you have a post request please leave a comment below.
